A symmetrical ecru shawl made from a delicate knitted fabric containing 77% alpaca and 23% silk. It is made on a hand-operated knitting machine. Lightweight and soft, it drapes gently around the body and can be worn in several ways – over the shoulders, around the neck or over the head like a soft hood.
An alpaca and silk shawl you can wear in different ways
Its simple triangular shape makes it easy to style depending on the weather and how much coverage you need. You can wrap it around your shoulders, wear it around your neck like a large scarf or drape it over your head. The photos show several ways to wear it, so you can get a better idea of its size and how the knitted fabric falls.
The ecru colour also works well if you are looking for a light-coloured accessory for a dress or a special occasion outfit. It can be worn as a bridal shawl or wedding wrap, especially on a cooler day, for an outdoor wedding, an evening reception or a wedding photo shoot.

Practical details
The large size shown in the photos gives you enough fabric to wrap comfortably around your shoulders and back, or to cover your head and neck. You can also choose a medium or small version. From my experience, it is worth considering at least the medium size – a larger shawl simply gives you more options for wrapping and styling. Thanks to the insulating properties of alpaca fibres, even the smaller size can still provide comfortable warmth.
The lightweight knit does not look bulky and adapts softly to the way you arrange it.
The natural alpaca halo gives the surface its characteristic softly fluffy appearance. If your skin is very sensitive, however, you may notice the alpaca fibres and find them slightly prickly.
The silk content complements the alpaca in this fine, lightweight yarn and contributes to the character of the finished knitted fabric.

Because of the nature of the knitted fabric, the measurements may vary slightly.
Each shawl comes with a removable faux leather label, which you can easily take off if you prefer to wear the shawl without it.
How to wear the shawl
You can wear it traditionally over your shoulders as a large shawl or wrap, wind it around your neck or drape it over your head so that it covers your head, nape and neck at the same time. This means one simple shape can serve several purposes without any additional fastenings or construction details.

How to care for an alpaca and silk shawl
I recommend gentle hand washing at up to 30°C. Do not wring the knitted fabric after washing. Gently press out excess water and reshape the shawl.
Dry flat – do not hang, as wet knitted fabric may stretch. While drying, you can gently shape the shawl by laying it flat on a towel or a soft mat.
