CHMURKA thin alpaca beanie – for the in-between seasons
The CHMURKA style is a classic handmade beanie without a turn-up, with a softly draping elongated back. The smooth knit and violet shade work well with everyday coats and jackets without taking over the whole outfit. The delicate halo on the surface gives it the soft, “cloud-like” character typical of alpaca beanies.
- Thin and lightweight knit – the beanie feels light on the head and works well in the city, in mild autumn and spring temperatures.
- High alpaca content – the yarn combines the warmth of alpaca and wool with the practicality of a synthetic fibre; it is a balance between a natural composition and easier everyday use.
- No turn-up and an elongated back – the beanie falls into a light slouch, which works well with different hairstyles and does not add weight to the forehead line.
- Moderate resistance to pilling – with everyday wear, small fuzz balls may appear, especially where the beanie rubs against a collar or hood; this is natural for soft wool beanies.
- Against the skin – the knit feels soft to the touch, but on a very sensitive scalp it may feel slightly itchy; in that case, a thin headband underneath may help.
- Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified – the yarn has been tested for harmful substances, which may matter if you are looking for a women’s alpaca beanie with documented fibre safety.
- Handmade with knitting needles – each beanie is shaped individually, helping the knit keep its elasticity and fit the head well.
- Removable eco-leather label – this makes washing easier, and if you do not like labels near your face, you can simply remove it.
- Hand wash – wash the beanie gently in lukewarm water; you can find detailed guidance here: wool care instructions.
- Option to create a set – you can pair the beanie with a scarf or snood in similar fibres (for example an alpaca scarf or alpaca snood) by browsing the accessories here: handmade wool accessories.
