A chunky winter beanie with a turn-up brim for cold and frosty days
This is a classic turn-up beanie, knitted from a single strand of thick wool yarn. The stitch is pronounced and chunky, but it sits softly on the head and gives a lightly oversized look. The Marshmallow colour is a pale, lightened shade between white and ecru – neutral and easy to pair with jackets in different colours.
- Thick knit and a turn-up brim – the beanie covers the ears and forehead well, making it a good choice for winter and very cold weather.
- 100% sheep’s wool – a natural fibre that helps maintain warmth and comfort in changing temperatures, which sets it apart from many beanies made from synthetic yarns.
- Ribbed stitch and beanie shape – it adapts to the head without feeling rigid; you can wear it lower on the forehead or with a looser fit at the top.
- A light halo on the surface – this adds visual softness and a gently cosy look, but if you have very sensitive skin, the wool may feel slightly itchy.
- Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification – the yarn has been tested for harmful substances, which may matter if you pay close attention to material safety.
- Eco-leather snap-on label – it can be removed for washing or if you prefer a more minimal look.
JANKA for everyday wear – when is it a good choice?
This chunky wool beanie is a good option if you are looking for a genuinely warm hat with a thick stitch for everyday wear: for walks, city wear, work or school. It works well as a chunky winter beanie for women or men, especially if you like a clearly textured knit and a classic, simple shape without a pom-pom. If your skin is particularly sensitive to wool, keep in mind that it may feel slightly itchy against the skin.
To help the beanie keep its shape and knit texture for as long as possible, wash it by hand only in cool water, press out excess water gently and dry it flat; you can find more tips in the care instructions for wool accessories.
